Your Reiki Healing Session
IN-PERSON SESSION
At my home-based practice located at 3309 - 11 Street, Cumberland, BC. Park on the street and come to the front door. There is no waiting room, please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible.
Note that I have a dog. While he will be contained in another room or outside, there may be allergens present and I cannot guarantee complete silence.
DISTANCE/ONLINE SESSION
We will connect using your unique Google Meet link found in your appointment confirmation email at our scheduled time.
No software is required to use Google Meet on a desktop computer, but an app & Google/Gmail account may be needed if you plan to use a mobile device.
Should we have any connectivity issues, I will call you using the phone number you provided at booking. If I cannot reach you, or if it is an International call, I will complete the healing or reading as usual and follow up via email with my findings and recommendations.

How to make the most of your Reiki session:

Dress comfortably. Ideally avoid wearing large hair ties, watches, belts, and bulky jewelry.

What would you like to release from your life and what would you like to welcome in its place?
Do you have a physical injury that needs healing? A goal you are working towards? An emotional issue to bring clarity to? Perhaps you are looking for calm and relaxation? We will chat about your intention to begin our session.

Prior to your Reiki session, stay hydrated and hit the bathroom.
I recommend bringing a water bottle with you; water will help your body flush toxins from your system and will re-establish a grounded physical energy after receiving Reiki.

Every Reiki session is different, so the more open you are to the fluid nature of the energy, the more successful your session will be. Reiki unfolds in ways we often do not expect, but always towards our highest good. Know that you are in a safe environment, relax, and allow the energy to rejuvenate every cell of your body.

Relaxation is key, so make sure to arrange for a quiet, calming place to rest. A comfy place to lie down in a room with a door that can be closed is ideal. Prepare your space with candles, fluff your pillows, grab some blankets, and ask roommates or family members to leave you undisturbed. Consider selecting some soft music to accompany your healing.

Select a track from the links below. Use a computer (or the free Insight Timer app on your mobile/tablet device). This will help to settle your energy, make it easier to unwind, and is timed just right so you can awaken gently prior to our follow up meeting. If using a computer make sure to adjust your auto-sleep settings so the music doesn’t get cut off when your computer enters sleep mode. Earbuds or headphones recommended.

Pre-select an alarm sound that will allow for you to awaken gently; many people like the sound of crickets, wind chimes, rain, or bird song. Once we get off our pre-call, set your alarm and switch your phone to silent mode.
This way if you fall asleep, we won’t miss our follow-up meeting.
Comprehensive sessions: 50 min.
Targeted mini sessions: 25 min.
What to Expect in Your Reiki Treatment
I am honoured to facilitate your healing journey. Knowing that you have the ability to heal and grow is such a powerful step to self-transformation. As a Reiki Master, trained in the Traditional Usui-Tibetan method, I approach your healing session with utmost care for your personal comfort while empowering you to engage with your own insight and intuition.
We will begin our session with a brief consultation to help us both gain clarity regarding your intentions for the Reiki treatment. Setting a clear intention along with your openness to receiving the energy are the two best ways to ensure a successful session.
Now it’s time for the energy healing! For distance sessions we will end our call; start your music (or set your alarm) and get comfortable. For in person sessions we’ll get you nice and cozy on the treatment table. All you need to do is relax, and don’t worry, the Reiki will help you settle in. I will intuitively direct the Reiki energy to various major and minor Chakra points along the body for a full clearing and rebalancing of your energy system.
Each of us experiences Reiki differently and what you perceive from one treatment to the next, or with various practitioners is also unique. You may feel sensations like warmth, cold, or tingling, see colours or patterns, release emotionally, gain clarity, find deep peace and relaxation, or even no sensations at all. What you feel, or don’t feel however is not a marker for the success of your treatment and I believe it is always exactly what you need at that time.
At the conclusion of your treatment we will reconvene (using the same call link for distance sessions) to discuss your experiences. I will also provide any additional feedback that was brought to my attention during the treatment. Beyond the benefits you have experienced in this magical exchange of energy, Reiki will continue to weave its way through your life in the days to come often connecting the dots and aligning you to your true path. Our goal is for you to leave feeling refreshed, clear and ready to tackle any further healing you feel you require - you are your own master healer.
